Depending upon the group, we do 30 – 45 minutes of music and movement followed by a snack. Live music is the bulk of the class, with some recorded music for use during our scarf dancing. Generally, children sign up for repeat sessions, and the classes stay pretty stable (same children keep coming in each group).
At Twinkle there are only right ways for our children to “do” music. Many children will sit and watch- either each other or me, some do the hand movements, some sing bits and pieces. It just depends upon what a particular child is focusing on at the moment. So, it always turns out that everyone succeeds at Twinkle, week after week. I have been “Twinkling” for at least 6 years now. Over these years parents have remarked that they have such fond memories of our classes, and of the special times they have shared together with their children at Twinkle. I hope you will join us, too! |
