Baby Mindy

I was born in Vero Beach, Florida. I am the youngest of four children...so, when I arrived, everyone else in my family already played an instrument, and enjoyed singing together. I started playing the clarinet the summer after 2nd grade, and quickly joined in the family fun. I took private lessons all the way through high school. I decided to try the saxophone because I liked the louder tone and jazzy sounds it makes. I liked the flute and its lighter, higher sounds. I taught myself how to play the guitar so I could write my own songs. I get to play all of these instruments with The Sunny Side Up Band.

Learning to play an instrument is hard work, but the more you practice, the better it sounds, and the more fun it becomes! Now that I am an adult, I teach music lessons to people of all ages. If you don't already play an instrument, you should try one! Practice hard, and you will be amazed at what you can do.

I also like to play music with my husband, (Scott) my son, (Mason) and my little girl (Lauren). Scott plays the bass guitar, Mason is a drummer, and Lauren loves to sing in the microphone. We have so much fun making music together.

When I am not playing music, I enjoy sports. Volleyball is my favorite, but I also like to play football, baseball, and basketball. When I play, I have to be careful not to injure my mouth or my fingers. It's difficult to play the saxophone with a broken finger or tooth.
